Is Unmarkr free?
Checking an image is free and unlimited. Removing its metadata is free at preview size, or 1 credit at full size. Removing the visible watermark and SynthID costs 4 credits. New accounts start with 7 free credits.
What's the difference between the free clean and the paid one?
The free clean removes metadata: C2PA Content Credentials, the "Made with AI" tag, and EXIF, XMP and IPTC data. The 4-credit clean removes the visible watermark — the badge stamped in the corner — and the invisible SynthID mark.
Does it work on ChatGPT and Gemini images?
Yes. ChatGPT images carry C2PA Content Credentials, which the free clean removes. Gemini images carry the corner sparkle as well — that one needs the 4-credit clean.
What do the plans cost?
Basic is €6.99/month for 300 credits, Pro is €17.99/month for 750 credits, Creator is €39.99/month for 1,800 credits. Yearly billing costs the same per month and adds 2 months' worth of credits up front. One-time packs start at €4.99 for 200 credits, and credits never expire.

What image formats can I upload?
PNG, JPG and WebP, up to 25 MB. Drag a file in, paste it from your clipboard, or paste a link.
Is there an API?
Yes — a REST API cleans images at scale, metered by credits: 1 credit to strip metadata, 4 to also remove the visible watermark and SynthID. Grab a key from your dashboard.
